Apoc. v: 6-12
Léctio libri Apocalypsis beáti Joánnis Apostoli. |
A reading from the Apocalypse of blessed John the Apostle. |
I n diebus illis: Ecce ego Joánnes vidi in médio throni, et
Amen.» |
I n those days, behold, I John, saw in the midst of the throne
and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, a Lamb
standing, as if slain; having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the
seven spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. And He came and took
the scroll out of the right hand of Him Who sat upon the throne. And when
He had opened the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four
elders fell down before the Lamb, having each a harp and golden bowls full
of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. And they sang a new
canticle, saying: «Worthy art Thou to take the scroll and to open its
seals; for Thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us for God with Thy Blood,
out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and hast made them
for our God a kingdom and priests, and they shall reign over the earth.»
And I beheld, and I heard a voice of many angels round about the throne,
and the living creatures and the elders, and the number of them was
thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice, «Worthy is the Lamb Who
was slain to receive power and divinity and wisdom and strength and honor
and glory and blessing forever and ever. Amen.» |
Graduale: Ps. cil: 5 et 1
E xultábunt sancti in glória, lætabúntur in cubílibus suis.
Cantáte Dómino cánticum novum, laus ejus in ecclésia sanctórum. |
T he saints shall rejoice in glory; they shall be joyful in their
beds. Sing ye to the Lord a new canticle; let His praise be in the
assembly of the saints. |
Luc. vi: 17-23
+ Sequéntia sancti Evangélii secúndum
Lucam. |
+ The continuation of the Holy Gospel according to Luke: |
I n illo témpore: Descéndens Jesus de monte, stetit in loco
vexabántur a spirítibus immúndis, curabántur.
A t that time, Jesus coming down with them, took His stand on a
level stretch, with a crowd of His disciples, and a great multitude of
people from all Judea and Jerusalem, and the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon,
who came to listen to Him and to be healed of their diseases. And those
who were troubled with unclean spirits were cured. And all the crowd was
trying to touch Him, for power went forth from Him and healed all. And He
lifted up His eyes to His disciples, and said, «Blessed are you poor,
for yours is the kingdom of God. Blessed are you who hunger now, for you
shall be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh.
Blessed shall you be when men hate you, and when they shut you out, and
reproach you, and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man.
Rejoice on that day and exult, for behold your reward is great in heaven.» |
