Preface of the Blessed Virgin Mary On feasts of the BVM, their octaves (except for the Purification), and in votive Masses. The name of the feast is inserted as appropriate:...on the Annunciation ...on the Visitation ...on the Assumption ...on the Nativity ...on the Presentation ...on the Immaculate Conception ...on the Transfixion [7 Sorrows] ...on the Solemnity [OL Rosary] ...on the Commemoration [Mt. Carmel] ...on the Feast ...in Veneration [votive Masses]. [P] World without end. It is truly meet and just, right and availing unto salvation, that we should in all times and in all places give thanks unto Thee, O holy Lord, Father almighty and everlasting God. That on the ______ of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we should praise and proclaim Thee. For she conceived Thine only begotten Son by the overshadowing of the Holy Ghost; and losing not the glory of her virginity, gave forth to the world the everlasting light, Jesus Christ Our Lord. Through whom the angels praise Thy majesty, the dominations adore, the powers are in awe, the virtues of highest heaven and the blessed seraphim unite in blissful exultation. With them we praise Thee; grant that our voices too may blend, saying in adoring praise: [All] Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God of hosts.
