Pray for the Conversion of Everyone to the Catholic Faith The New Order no longer celebrates the feast of Saint Peter's Chair at Rome, and they no longer consider it to be “politically correct” or “ecumenical” to pray for anyone's conversion, but faithful Catholics are urged to do both. I have added [in brackets] an intention or two to the list of those for whom we ought to pray. According to my 1961 Maryknoll Missal:
Prayer for Church Unity To Be said during the Chair of Unity Octave, January 18 to 25
v. That they all may be one, as Thou, Father, in Me and I in Thee; that they also may be one in Us; that the world may believe that Thou hast sent Me. v. I say unto thee, that thou art Peter; r. And upon this Rock I will build My Church. v. O Lord Jesus Christ, Who said unto Thine apostles; «Peace I leave you, My peace I give you »; regard not our sins, but, rather, the faith of Thy Church; and grant unto her that peace and unity which are agreeable to Thy will. Who livest and reignest God forever and ever. r. Amen. January 18: Saint Peter’s Chair: Return of the “Other Sheep.” January 19: Ss. Marius, Martha & Sons: Return of the Separated Eastern Churches. January 20: Ss. Fabian & Sebastian: Return of the English Church January 21: St. Agnes: Return of European Protestants January 22: St. Vincent and Anastasia: Catholic Unity for American Christians January 23: St. Raymond of
Peñafort: Return of Lapsed Catholics January 24: St. Timothy: Conversion of Jews [and Moslems] January 25: Conversion of Saint Paul: Missionary Conquest of the World.
